Student Activities
The Student Government
is responsible for representing the social, political and educational
concerns of students. The main purpose of the Student Government
program is to provide student leaders with skills beyond what
they learn in the classroom. Interpersonal communication, budget
control, entrepreneurial skills, creativity and activity planning
are just a few of the skills that are stressed.
Most colleges have
a variety of clubs and organizations for students. Clubs are started
by students who share common interests, and each club has a faculty
or staff advisor. If students are interested in joining campus
clubs and/or organizations, the student government members are
available to provide necessary information. Many clubs also provide
this information online.
